The practical training will be accompanied by an important part of theoretical and technical training which will allow the candidate to best deal with technical drawings, welding specifications and production cycles.
The initial training aims to introduce the new candidate into the fabrication department where high-tech products are made with stringent requirements on the quality of the welded joints.A fundamental part of the training will be dedicated to the culture of safety and prevention which is an absolute priority at Baker Hughes.As a Welding Operator, you will be responsible for:Performing daily activities according to Health, Safety Environment Quality standardsRealizing material identification, execution of preliminary checks of the state of the details in accordance with the applicable specificationsJoining weekly HSE Quality communication shared by Ops Leader and Production Supervisor with all the team (Safety Talk Quality Talk)Suggesting actions to improve the activities carried out by them according to the spirit of the company's program of continuous improvementFuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will:Hold a High school diploma (preferably Mechanical Expert)Be eligible for an Apprenticeship contractShow fundamental knowledge of manual, automatic, and semi-automatic welding processesBe available to work on shifts (even on weekends if necessary)Be able to read and interpret drawings/technical specificationsShow referenced experience in welding/machining activitiesDisplay knowledge of Oil Gas productsShow knowledge and expertise in using precision measuring instrumentsShow computer skills (using Excel, Word, e-mail, etc.
)Display an attitude towards teamworkBe fluent in Italian and hold a EU Work PermitDesired CharacteristicsDisplay welding experience in at least one typology of process (manual, automatic, semi-automatic)Basic knowledge of the English languageBe available to make transfersShow knowledge of the principles of welding for manual, automatic, and semi-automatic processesDisplay knowledge of the fundamentals of Non-Destructive Testing performed on welding (LP, FPI, etc.
