We are currently seeking a Weight Control Engineer, reporting directly to Modular Design Section Head to join our Engineering team based in Rome.
You will work inside the Modular Design Section that is in charge of the management of Proposals, Basic Engineering Design up to Detail Engineering Design of Modularized Onshore Projects.
The key interaction of the Weight Management Engineer is internally with Project teams, Procurement, Construction, and other engineering disciplines; externally with Clients, Yard fabricators, and Transport Contractors.
The Weight Control Engineer shall ensure that weight management and philosophy meet project and client requirements, as well as international codes, Company specifications, and industry standards and regulations.
Your Responsibilities The role and your responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Preparation of Weight Control Procedures; Preparation of Weight Control Reports on a regular basis; Interface with Project Management Team and disciplines leaders to collect data of weights and Center of Gravity location; Review data provided by all engineering disciplines in terms of overall consistency with plant layout; Review and evaluation of any weight deviation or center of gravity variation and their effect on the limits set by the project and, when necessary, corrective actions; Identify and monitor weight implications due to design changes; About You We'd love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements: Qualifications: Master degree in Civil / Structural / Mechanical / Naval Engineering Languages: Fluent in Italian and English Main Skills: Strong MS Office skills (great command of Excel); Attitude to problem solving; Creation of tools for automation of data management; Teamwork in an international and multi-cultural environment; Growth mindset and continuous improvement approach; Good presentation and communication skills at all organizational levels; Sharp eye for detail and capability to complete tasks on time with the required Company quality level and a high level of precision; Availability for international mobility for either short or long term assignments; Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience in the same role in the Oil Gas sector; IT Skills: Strong MS Office skills (great command of Excel); AutoCAD; Microstation; SmartPlant; Review Navisworks; Inclusion Standards In our continuous journey to developing and building a culture of inclusion, we adhere to four Inclusion Gold Standards: We challenge our biases and embrace diversity of thought; No one has all the knowledge and solutions; collectively we do; We foster a caring environment where people are respected, comfortable to share, and be heard; We promote active listening for effective decision and action.
