The Web & Digital Specialist is responsible for the execution of defined digital activities that support hotels, bars, and restaurants with necessary digital marketing and operational tactics.
The role requires a focus on ensuring hotels are aligned to global compliance and ensuring approved content is updated across specific digital platforms and channels; he/she will provide monthly automated reports to participating hotels, support social media marketing and destination marketing campaigns through email marketing to maximize online presence that attributes to the hotels' performance.
This is a full-time, seasonal position based in Porto Cervo, Sardinia.
Education and Experience 1+ years' experience in an online agency, client services position, or hotel marketing is required or equivalent experience.
Diploma in marketing or related field or equivalent certification from higher education.
Strong workflow management skills and experience in content management systems.
Organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-sensitive; takes initiative and anticipates needs.
Proficiency in English is required.
Managing Work, Projects, and Policies Delivers against all aspects of the Digital Marketing program and associated services for 2 luxury hotels, a collection of bars and restaurants, and 1 golf club.
Implementing and Managing Online Platforms Maintain and update website contents and company apps.
Open & monitor tickets for technical issues on dedicated platforms.
Conduct audits of hotel websites with defined scores and areas of improvement.
Update CMS fields associated with hotels and restaurant website pages.
Update and load photography into Marriott asset library ensuring correct compliance.
Load hotels offers as directed by hotel team and continent team.
Ensure Tripadvisor and GMB listings and updates as needed from hotel.
3rd Party listings (OTAs) and content scores updates to hotels.
Liaise and work with hotels with detailed feedback on content audits and scores.
Digital & Social Campaigns Collate, create, and execute social media and digital campaigns per market.
Oversee activation of SEO program per market.
Coordinate and ensure the development of tactical landing pages.
Support the setup and management of paid and social media campaigns as needed.
Compile reporting and recommendations for all campaigns.
Relationships & Processes Develop knowledge and work with Marriott international teams.
Manage relationships with key vendors to drive scalability of efforts and implementation consistency and platform development oriented at better tracking/conversion.
Where appropriate, develop, support, and implement new processes and track output to improve efficiency for the team.
Additional Responsibilities Attend and participate in all relevant internal and external meetings.
Inform, update, and provide information to managers and co-workers in a timely manner.
Present ideas, expectations, and information in a concise, organized manner.
Use problem-solving methodology for decision making and follow up.
