We are continuously growing and we are looking for a professional Web Developer and Digital Content Specialist to join our UniQue Ispra team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our customers in the public sector and you will be responsible for developing new business by identifying profitable opportunities, maintaining your client portfolio by building strong, long-lasting relationships, and monitoring the progress of the projects, with the aim to provide excellent client service and added value services. What will you be bringing to the team? Development of back-end and front-end website applications (e.g. EOLO web applications and tools). Integration of user-facing elements developed by European Institution. Implementation of security, data protection and accessibility rules, interacting with the corresponding EU offices and producing the requested documentation. Development and maintenance of the AgrEE tool and other web applications. Improvement of the workflow for data production and publication: supporting all EDGAR data releases with the production of data to be delivered, metadata and website updates. Management of the EDGAR website, including ordinary and extraordinary maintenance, update of latest scientific publications, FAQs, etc. Management of the functional mailbox (i.e. replying to the users' requests, sending newsletters, management of online surveys, implementation of users' feedback, etc.). Development of infographics and multimedia contents to disseminate the EDGAR products to the wider audience. Improvement of the EDGAR website graphical interface. Supporting the production of EDGAR publications (e.g. EDGAR booklet, papers, etc.), working on the editorial and communication aspects. What do you need to succeed in this position? Experience with website development, programming and frameworks: HTML 5, PHP 7, JavaScript, AJAX, CodeIgniter and CSS3. Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and other graphic design software. Experience in web page administration and content management. Experience with database design, development and optimization using MySQL. Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools. Good working knowledge in English. Advantage: Understanding of environmental and climate change related issues. Knowledge of Geographical Information System tools (e.g. ArcMap, QGIS, handling NetCDF files, etc.). Programming with Python and R. Creative approach to work.
