Reporting to the Web Strategist, the Web Coordinator is an integral member of the Marketing Office's Digital team, which oversees and elevates the university's public-facing online presence, including the university's website, associated digital properties and social media landscape.
This position work closely with digital marketing and web liaisons in faculties and departments across UNB and colleagues in ITS.
**Position summary**:
- Manage high volumes of web support requests from faculties and departments, with careful consideration to web best practices, technical limitations, and proper branding and messaging.
- Execute website development projects with faculties, centres, and units.
Serve as a technical translator of marketing requirements and technical capabilities.
- Support audit and optimization process for all external-facing UNB websites.
- Implement digital content strategies in support of institutional campaigns and strategic initiatives.
- Build relationships with content owners and website administrators across UNB.
Provide strategic guidance and support on web content trends, best practices, and standards.
- Contribute to the optimization of UNB's external-facing website, information architecture and performance through ongoing testing and measurement.
- Uphold standards for consistent, clear, and high-quality content across all public-facing UNB websites.
- Partner with IT Services in the design and development of technical tools and solutions to improve the user experience.
**Requirements/Skills**:
- Post-secondary degree in marketing, communications, business or computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of three years of experience in digital marketing or communications, web development or web services.
- Ability to problem-solve and manage high-volumes of work is essential.
- Recent and significant experience using issue tracking systems.
- Familiarity and experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager would be an asset.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including diplomacy, editing, proofreading, and attention to detail are required.
- Knowledgeable about SEO, information architecture, and usability best practices.
- Familiarity with front-end web development, especially HTML.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite tools and Cascade Content Management System would be a strong asset.
- Willingness to address occasional after-hours urgent requests.
