Warehouse Technician is the role that provides for the proper management of the Warehouse, in order to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of organisational processes, also regarding upstream areas (Reception, Purchasing, Sales, Service) and downstream areas (Production, Logistics, Customers).
Responsibilities Ensure the correct management of goods - incoming, in stock and outgoing - using the management software in use, in particular WMS software;Collaborate with Logistics for shipping;Move the warehouse to make it efficient and effective at all times, in full compliance with the established safety regulations;Updating internal or external collaborators on the warehouse operation logics.Activities Control (qualitative and quantitative) of incoming goods in relation to the supplier's delivery note and subsequent coding; storage of goods;Picking of goods in accordance with production and/or sales orders;Organisation of the shipment, in collaboration with the Logistics area, to define and transfer all the data required to guarantee the correct shipment (weight, size, destination);Drawing up the necessary documentation for transport (delivery note, courier bulletin);Analysis of stocks; carrying out cyclic inventory; sorting of obsolete materials and packaging for disposal/recycling;Maintaining an orderly and precise layout of the warehouse, tools and equipment available: forklifts, transpallets, skin-packs (for vacuum packaging), wrappers;Supporting the loading and unloading of goods, both incoming and outgoing, including the use of suitable equipment;Use of office automation software: xls (data entry and correct updating), e-mail (spare parts management), outlook for scheduling activities;Training and/or updating (internally or externally) on the operating logic of the company's warehouses and the SWs that manage them;Observance of the rules established to guarantee safety and health, one's own and others', in the workplace and environmental protection.Must have Technical IT diploma or specific to the logistics area;Familiarity with office automation software and management of activity scheduling through Outlook, in connection with the Production Area;Adequate knowledge of English, in order to be able to understand manuals and documentation written in the language (the selection interview includes a language proficiency test);Possession of a 'fork-lift truck licence', and relevant experience (not required in the case of a Junior role).Nice to have Previous experience in the position, within metalworking companies;Experience in the use of warehouse management software;Possible previous experience in technical roles related to production or logistics;Computer skills in dedicated management software;Willingness to travel to suppliers and/or warehouses located outside the company.
