As a Warehouse & Logistic Manager, you will be responsible for designing warehouse layout & internal logistics routine, optimizing internal logistics operation processes, and procedures to continuously improve efficiency, optimize inventory structure, and improve inventory turns to minimize operational cost.
Your Tasks as a Warehouse & Logistic Manager will include the following:
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, transportation, and distribution.
Be responsible for the inventory target, optimize inventory structure and improve inventory turns.
Communicate and identify areas of operation bottlenecks for the purposes of improving lead times and customer deliveries. Meet related KPIs, including inventory, TTPT, OTD, Ship Complete, ROTD, etc.
Realize economic calculation and cost optimization of logistics concepts & processes.
Design the warehouse processes with a safety-first policy.
Design the warehouse layout for kitting and sequencing area to achieve shortest movement in warehouse and good usage of warehouse space.
In charge of material feeding to production line timely and accurately while keeping minimum WIP.
Forecast future space requirements by considering inventory policy, ramp-ups/ramp-downs, and equipment/operator utilization.
Be responsible for designing the FG delivery package to ensure picking efficiency, packing efficiency, and safety and cost efficiency.
Be responsible for the process set-up for inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring the team meets safety and operational targets.
Lead and participate in lean activities in the warehouse, including 5S, visual management, value stream mapping, layout, and logistics improvement.
Ensure (with HR support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled, and directed.
Guide, motivate, coach, and develop direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.
Requirements
Bachelor's/Diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering coupled with 6 to 8 years of Warehouse & Logistic Planning experience.
Understanding of operational processes in the factory, familiarity with SAP, especially on MM & PP modules; key user experience is preferred.
Knowledge of Lean production, Operational excellence, Continuous Improvement, 4Q, 6Sigma.
Personal leadership and ownership, good organization, and communication skills.
Candidates should have fluency in English, both oral and written.
Good leadership and ownership; working experience as a people engineer/supervisor will be an ideal match.
