This position is highly technical, utilizing various online platforms to build registration forms, manage email marketing, pull reports, and monitor social media.
The Specialist will assist with managing Club events, marketing, training, and will be responsible for the measurement of program success by tracking volunteer membership, event attendance, survey data, and budget utilization.
The incumbent must be skilled at building strong relationships, managing expectations and handling multiple priorities simultaneously.Duties and Responsibilities:Program Support: Manages and tracks the use of virtual resources for Regional Clubs including STOVA registration forms, Emma email marketing, VUAA Marketplace, Nova Network regional groups, and social media accounts.
Responsible for measurement of Regional Club program success by tracking volunteer membership, event attendance, survey data, and budget utilization.Volunteer Support: Supports internal team in the documentation and improvement of programs, policies, and procedures to identify, recruit, orient, manage, evaluate, and support Regional Club volunteers.Event Coordination: Serves as Program Lead for select annual Regional Club events and signature programs, working in collaboration with Alumni Relations, Special Events and Advancement Communication teams.Staff support for other related Alumni Relations and University Advancement initiatives.Perform other duties and assist with special projects as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required.1-2 years of relevant office support or operations experience.Experience with managing multiple priorities, working independently and as part of a collaborative team.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and technological skills required.Must be a problem solver and capable of finding solutions with little oversight.Capable of managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.Knowledge of general office equipment, including personal computers, word processing, Excel and/or other spreadsheet programs required.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with process improvement, implementing technology solutions, and volunteer management a plus.Preferred experience in a higher education setting or related nonprofit, communications, or volunteer management position.Knowledge of event, marketing, or fundraising software a plus (i.e.
Salesforce, Cognos, Emma, STOVA, GiveCampus).Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:Must be able to work additional hours in evening and weekends to provide support for Regional Club and high-profile alumni events such as Reunion, Homecoming, etc.
