Role purpose: 2nd Line Operations of Core IMS Networks in a multi-vendor environment.
Preventive and corrective second level troubleshooting ensuring quality, continuity of service and the restoring time for Core IMS Network Elements.
In collaboration with 1st Line Operations teams, work out procedures related to the analysis of alarms to detect and eliminate faults.
Perform data configuration, software rollout and support integration activities with planning and delivery functions.Key accountabilities and decision ownership: • In case of incident assure trouble shooting analysis and all the repair actions, including vendor support escalation, to achieve service and performance restoration of Core Network.
• Perform proactive maintenance activities to prevent incidents and constantly optimize the network, Daily Walkthroughs and Health checks for Core CS components.• Assure planned work activities, network rollout, software upgrades and parameter changes in Core CS network ensuring quality of service and avoiding regression on network functionalities.• Introduce and manage cutting edge technologies including vendor and on the job training.• Perform acceptance test and integration/configuration activities of new network elements of the Core CS network.• Knowledge sharing to increase technical skills of other teams involved in deployment and operations activities in the network Key performance indicators:• Putting customer first • Managing a changing environment• Delivering results• Communicating for impact Core competencies, knowledge and experience:• Very good knowledge of core network principles for 2G/LTE technologies: MSS, MGW, SBC, CSCF, TAS, ENUM, VoLTE • Good knowledge of core network protocols: SIGTRAN, ISUP, CAMEL, INAP SIP, Diameter, TCP/UDP, S1AP, GTP/GTPv2, MAP, BSSAP.• Experience in trace analysis (Wireshark traces, Tektronix traces, network element traces);• NFV Framework basics and knowledge of VNF context and technologies (virtualization layer, VIM, VNF Managers).
