WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Sales Capture Manager - Defence Join our client's team in Frascati (and from October, in the Romanina area, Rome) as an experienced Sales Capture Manager to drive growth in the Defence sector in Italy.
Our client provides specialized services across Europe in sectors such as Defence, Space, and IT.
Their team works closely with public sector bodies, including European Institutions and the European Space Agency.
The role involves identifying new business opportunities and supporting strategic growth in the Defence market, reporting directly to the Head of Defence of Italy.
YOUR TASKS - Deliver growth targets for the Defence sector in Italy.
- Develop the market by identifying new opportunities that align with the business unit's vision, goals, and strategies.
- Create and implement a business development strategy for Defence in Italy, in line with European and Group strategies, to drive high growth and margin improvement.
- Own the delivery of Italian Defence sales targets, ensuring successful execution of the business plan, securing contract wins, and driving revenue growth.
- Deliver high-quality services that create sustainable value for customers, employees, and shareholders.
- Ensure all business opportunities are properly qualified, reviewed, and managed to maximize opportunity and profitability while controlling business and financial risks.
- Manage Defence bid opportunities in Italy and ensure successful sales target achievement.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Following skills and knowledge are required: - Ideally 6-7 years of experience in the Military/Defence sectors, with a strong understanding of military structures (Air Force, Navy, Carabinieri, Military, Law Enforcement) and key stakeholders in both the civilian industry (e.g., Leonardo, Fincantieri) and military.
- Ability to navigate this environment effectively, demonstrating the necessary rigor, professionalism, and etiquette when dealing with senior military ranks such as generals and colonels.
- Deep understanding of military matters and key stakeholders in Italy and Europe.
- Extensive experience in business development and sales, with an excellent understanding of the service business.
- Strong knowledge of Italian government procurement processes.
- Expertise in various sales mechanisms used by the Italian Government, such as ITT, Competitive Dialogue, and Negotiated Procedure.
- Proven ability to use company governance processes to translate sales opportunities into successful and profitable operations.
- Secondary School diploma required; a University Degree is preferred.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Italian.
- MS Office and planning tool proficiency.
- Adaptability and flexibility.
- Excellent communicator and a collaborative team player.
- Ability to develop positive relationships with other regions to leverage global expertise.
