We are revolutionizing machine perception, developing low-cost sensors built on silicon photonic chips smaller than your finger tip.  In this central role you'll be applying your design, engineering, integration, and productization skills to lead our Hardware Systems Engineering team developing the world's most advanced LiDAR imaging systems. You will develop new products that integrate our chip technology as we advance "LiDAR on a Chip" and make LiDAR sensing ubiquitous.. This is an extraordinary opportunity to join a small team and be a key player leading cutting edge photonics development. What you will be doing: Formulate and execute upon plans to grow, develop, and lead internal electronics design team (currently 5, growing to 10 by end of year) Manage engineering decisions and scheduling with external design/fabrication vendors Create/review electronic design specifications  Manage test and qualification process for electronic boards, either internally or with vendors What we need from you: Minimum of BS degree and 5 years experience  Demonstrated design abilities with high speeds digital system Demonstrated design abilities with high frequency mixed signal systems Demonstrated designs using FPGAs or ASICs Understanding of DSP techniques Demonstrated project management skills  Demonstrated management 10+ person teams Demonstrated management of technical teams of varying skills Nice to have: Understanding of Design for Manufacturability Exposure to large scale fabrication and project planning If you are a skilled Engineering Manager seeking an opportunity at a well-funded early, stage startup who takes shipping innovative, world changing products seriously, this is a great job for you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
