In order to strengthen our Technical Regulation & Regulatory Affairs Department we are looking to hire a Vehicle Certification Specialist based in Maranello (Italy).
You will be responsible for ensuring that all Ferrari vehicles meet regulatory requirements and homologation standards Worldwide.
You will have the opportunity to understand a new product development process, working side by side with the Development Team and have a full overview of the whole vehicle, granting the best solution considering legal requirements and the most advanced technological innovations.
Supervision of testing activities (e.g., exhaust emissions, passive and active safety) will be a key aspect of the job position, according to the development phase of the assigned project.
In this position, you will be responsible for: • Review and interpret regulatory requirements for vehicle certification in key markets, validating solution proposals and their applicability to the assigned Project.
• Define budget for the Homologation of a new vehicle.
• Coordinate certification testing and documentation for new vehicle models, for all Ferrari's selling markets.
Business trips will be needed to supervise the witnessing activities in all the involved facilities.
• Collaborate with R&D and Product Development teams to monitor certification requirements and support the implementation of necessary changes.
• Maintain detailed records of certification processes and approvals.
• Stay up to date on changing regulations and industry standards related to vehicle certification, promptly delivering R&D impact analysis on the relevant product, being the regulatory reference contact for the Development Team.
• Support cross-functional teams in resolving certification-related issues during vehicle development.
• Liaise with external agencies as necessary to secure Type Approval and Certification.
In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved excellent academic results with a Master-degree in Engineering or equivalent.
You should ideally have gained at least 2 years' dedicated experience in one or more of the following areas: R&D, Program Management, Testing, Quality.
Previous experience in vehicle certification, homologation or regulatory compliance, preferably but not limited to, in the automotive industry or Technical Service will be an asset.
Understanding of global vehicle regulations and certification processes is required to manage the activities.
In Ferrari you must exhibit the capability to work in a highly-dynamic and fast-changing environment, strong communication skills and accountability are important skillset to manage activities and responsibility of the role.
It is important to be proactive proposing new solutions to optimize all the processes and activities.
Fluent English is required for the position and Italian language skills are an advantage.
