Responsibilities Drive and deliver the Vamac growth plan in IMC and E&E markets in Europe and North America as part of a global Vamac Business Development team, supported by product technical specialists. Be a Vamac ambassador & engage with OEMs, Tier 1's molders & customers in IMC & E&E to get insights on customer needs and market trends. Monitor & interpret industry trends, carry out market assessments to identify most promising new markets and applications and formulate Vamac value propositions for existing and potential new grades. Raise potential investment needs to tap into growth opportunities in new applications/markets. Develop strong relationships with decision makers along the entire value chain. Effectively collaborate internally with key functions (e.g. sales, application development, R&D, technical services etc) to drive identified business development opportunities to commercialization. Manage Vamac oversight at current customer base; team up with commercial team to support ongoing business and explore avenues to grow Vamac. Identify extension opportunities in areas not currently covered by the application teams, as well as replicating success stories across regions, segments & customers. Diligent & disciplined use of pipeline management, CRM forecasting tools & processes. This role includes 30-60% travel (OEM/Customer visits, fairs), mostly in the EMEA region. Qualifications Educational background in engineering. 10+ years of experience in the rubber (or broader elastomer) industry, preferably in sales, marketing or business development in the Industrial, Consumer, Electronics & Electrical segment. Strong understanding of the material selection process along the value chain of the rubber industry. Self-starter, entrepreneurial mindset, strong personal presence and interpersonal skills. Excellent selling skills, ability to build rapport with stakeholders at various levels to build and strengthen network in the industry. The successful candidate needs to have both a regional and global perspective and understand external environment, markets, competition, applications and uses of the products in sufficient detail to make good business decisions.
