Are you experienced in quality processes or composite materials, and would you like to take lead in validating our product and process in new blade development projects at Taranto, Italy? This is a temporary position for project support; but your efforts during work will become an opportunity to grow in Vestas organization. Manufacturing & Transport Readiness in integral part of Global Vestas quality team. We are responsible for validation of the manufacturability & quality of the wind turbine components - Blade, Nacelle, Hub and Generator. The team is part of new product development projects representing the voice of the receiving factories and performing real-time validation. Our focus is to secure manufacturing robustness and documentation package with no probability of defects when introducing new product. Power Solutions & Vestas Quality (4) Responsibilities: • Validate product and process specification in new blade development projects • Track CTQ performance and Cost of Poor quality (COPQ) for every prototype build and conduct build review • Perform statistical analysis and interpret data from the validation studies and confirm with requirement in validation report • Drive problem solving for the non-conformities to identify root cause and propose corrective actions • Support the prototype build by identifying & controlling variation parameters with containment actions • Validate BOM to reflect the actual consumption against the planned • Lessons learned are captured and the manufacturing documentation package is updated Qualifications: You hold a bachelor or similar education in engineering, for example chemical engineering, production engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar subjects. Or you have solid experience in the field of composite engineering or quality processes as a technician. Furthermore, We favor If You Have • Experience from the wind turbine industry or similar relevant • Knowledge on NDT methods such as Thermography, Ultrasonic Testing • Experience with statistical data and tolerance analysis • Experience with application of FMEA, control plans, capability studies and MSA • Systematic problem-solving methodologies like 8D, A3, DOE, etc. • Knowledge on APQP4wind and Six sigma methodology, for instance Green belt certified Competencies: • You are motivated and responsible - particularly focused on meeting project deadlines • You will actively seek what you need to complete your tasks • You will be advocating as the "voice of the customer" demanding the highest quality expectations from the organization • You have good team focus; you will enjoy working with a range of people across various international locations, backgrounds, and cultures • You will thrive in an ever-changing work environment where no day is the same • You have great communication skills in English and the ability to talk with a range of stakeholders.
