Since the end of 2022, we have started developing a new MSC Air Cargo solution in response to customer demand and as a complementary service to its container shipping solutions.
To support the growth of MSC Air Cargo activities, we are looking for a highly motivated and hands-on ULD Coordinator.
The role is to implement, execute, and manage all tasks and actions formulated by the Global Cargo Operations Director (COD) to ensure that the Unit Load Devices (ULDs) and loading accessories at stations across MSC Air Cargo's online and offline network are executed. The UCG will be responsible for managing the implementation of ULD coordination for import and export handling and monitoring the return and provision of ULDs and loading accessories as per MSC Air Cargo's regulations on station and network level.
ResponsibilitiesEstablish and define station CCS for ULDs and loading accessories in accordance with MSC Air Cargo's business model and operational needs.Develop and implement a ULD recovery scheme for ULDs delivered to customers for both program and ad-hoc charters, as well as for free sales flights.Coordinate the return of ULDs and loading accessories from customers by engaging with both MSC Air Cargo's internal stakeholders and customers.Monitor recovery discipline of MSC Air Cargo's customer against KPIs set by the COD. Recalling ULDs from customers if not used for MSC Air Cargo's flights.Evaluate demurrage costs associated with the non-return of ULDs and collaborate with the Billing department to facilitate invoicing.Establish and ensure maintenance of minimum ULD stock levels for online stations based on business requirements.Engage with MSC Air Cargo's and its partner's stakeholders for ULD set-up on ad-hoc charter operations.Actively support MSC Air Cargo's commercial teams for ULD loan provision to customers as well as MSC Air Cargo's online station in arranging special ULDs for ad-hoc shipments.Ensure close cooperation with MSC Air Cargo's station operations personnel, trucking team, commercial teams, and billing department.Observe ULD handling and messaging performance of MSC Air Cargo's Ground Handling Agents.Compile reports on ULD performance as requested by the COD and MSC Air Cargo's leadership team.Support MSC Air Cargo's team in procurement decision making for ULDs, loading accessories, and other material as well as related services e.g., long-term, short-term leasing, cargo projects, and repair.Actively contribute to working groups of MSC Air Cargo.Required Qualifications:Minimum 3-5 years experience in Air Cargo Operations, preferably with cargo airlines or ground handling agents.Strong knowledge in Air Cargo export and import processes.Familiar with Air Cargo EDI messaging, especially with ULD messaging (UCM, SCM, LUC).Experienced in working with Cargo Management Systems, preferably with iCargo.Excellent and customer-oriented verbal and written communication skills.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Proficiency in MS Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.Experience in SharePoint is a plus.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment both individually and within a multi-national team.English mandatory, other languages are a plus to successfully interact in an international business environment.You are dynamic, proactive, and comfortable working in an ever-changing environment of a startup business.Our company provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
