Northrop Grumman Defense Services is seeking Aircraft Technicians for our NAS Sigonella Forward Operating Location.
The candidate will install and troubleshoot avionics systems wiring in aircraft in accordance with technical specifications and engineering instructions.
Also, performs maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various vehicle systems.
Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.
Fabricates, installs and tests installation, routing, clamping and wiring harnesses.
Reads wiring diagrams and blueprints.
Maintains applicable customer required records, manuals and inspection forms.
Recommends corrective actions and resolves problems using technical publications and analytic techniques.
Records information on maintenance data collection forms and automated systems.
Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution in minimum time.
Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
Provide On-the-Job Training and platform instruction to NATO AGS customer when required.
This position will be a long-term expatriate opportunity.
This position will include Flight Arrangement(s), Household Good Shipment, HOLA, COLA and other incentives for working this assignment overseas .
Basic Qualifications : -Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in an appropriate technical discipline and 3 years related experience OR; An Associate's Degree in an appropriate technical discipline and seven (7) years of specialized experience OR; High School diploma and eleven (11) years of relevant experience.
- A basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- US or NATO Top SECRET Clearance Required.
-Able to commit to a 2 year overseas assignment - Must have prior UAV experience Preferred Qualifications: - (FAA) Airframe and Power plant (A&P) and General Radiotelephone Operators License (GROL) desired.
- Working knowledge of maintenance data bases (i.e., IMDS/CAMS) -Worked on previous Global Hawk maintenance programs.
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment -Willingness to work after hours and weekends as required Salary Range: $68,000 - $113,400 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
