PURPOSE OF THE JOBPilots the technical aspects of the Project or Tender. Represents technically the project, vis-à-vis the customer. Specifies and validates, with his team, the Transport System Solution, and controls the technical consistency through a strong interfaces Management.
ORGANIZATIONReports directly to: Project manager or turnkey bid engineering manager
Direct reports: System engineering manager, CW interface manager
Network & Links Internal (80%): Project core team, Subsystems engineering managersExternal (20%): Customer, Engineer, third parties, other contracts, Partners, SubcontractorsMAIN RESPONSIBILITIESIn tender phase, build the optimized solution (technical, performances, cost) with the support of the subsystem's technical managers and quote the turnkey engineering work package.Manage the technical relationship with the Consortium and the client.Choose the hypotheses for performance calculations and validate the results.Validate the system specifications and the interfaces specifications produced by his team.Control the System configuration and requirement management in accordance with the design milestones of the project.Manage Design Changes related to the transport system definition throughout the project lifecycle.Follow the Preliminary and Final Designs progress.In relationship with the Project Test & Commissioning Manager, prepare the VTA activities.Lead, develop and motivate the Engineering Project / Tender team.Implement the Methods and Engineering tools.Ensure the carry-over from previous projects and current R&Ds.Support the Project Manager.MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCESEducational Requirements Mandatory: Master University Degree in Engineering
Experience Mandatory: Broad Knowledge of railway systems, operating requirements, available equipment and systems. At least 5 years of experience in Railway system engineering in an international project. Expert in System Engineering.
