The position's primary responsibility is recruiting for the WVDOT and connecting applicants with a rewarding career path in their field of study or experience.Recruiters at this level travel to high schools, community and technical colleges, and in/out of state colleges and universities to participate in career fairs, and help attendees apply for available jobs with the WVDOT.
The position also fulfills various other duties as assigned, including but not limited to: creating and managing hiring materials used at events, participating in employee training, attending yearly SHRM conferences when required.
Work requires analysis, interpretation, and application of policies, procedures, laws, rules, and regulations specific to the operation of statewide human resources functions.
Work is reviewed and approved by the immediate supervisor or lead worker.
