Transport Specialist / Dispatcher

Our Client is a well-known family business, a European leader in Food Bulk transportation with an Italian headquarters and a focus on Intermodal. To expand their team for Italy, they're looking for strong and winning personalities with positive energy, willingness to perform, and entrepreneurial spirit who are Italian and English speakers.

Main tasks:

In the position of a Transport Specialist, the selected Candidate will support existing customers and act as their primary point of contact with the Company. After an initial training, in connection with the Transport Manager and the other specialists of the Transport team, each selected Candidate will be fully responsible for the organization and supervision of assigned Italian and European road and intermodal transports in the designated area of responsibilities.

Operational tasks:


Independent planning and scheduling of land/sea/train transport (round trip/charter);Booking of transport services as well as complete handling of organization and support to transport planning activities according to the Company procedures;In connection with the Transport Team Manager, development of customer-specific solutions & customer projects.Requirements: Professional attitude and approach:Behaving professionally as an open, communicative person with strong communication skills;
Being committed, flexible, and able to take ownership for the assigned tasks and area of responsibilities;
Appreciating working in a young, dynamic, and multicultural team.
Technical required competences:Very good Italian and English language skills. German and/or Spanish language skills will be considered a relevant "plus";Having previous experience in the transport industry, preferably in an Intermodal Dispatcher / Transport Specialist role;Graduated school Diploma or completed University education, ideally in the commercial/logistics fields;Owning a valid work permit for Italy is a prerequisite for this position.
