Transport Project ManagerPosting Date: 17 Jul 2024City: GenovaLocation: Genova, IT, 16129 Roma, IT, 144Contract Type: PermanentDivision: International Infrastructure MobilityLevel of experience: IntermediateRINA is currently recruiting for a Transport Project Manager to join its office in Genoa, Rome, Italy within the International Infrastructure Mobility Division.MissionAs a Transport Consultant, you will play a vital role in the coordination and execution of technical activities for national and international transport projects and in the coordination of designers for the delivery of new transport systems worldwide.Key AccountabilitiesTransport Infrastructure Project Design Management:- Coordinate the design activities for national and international transport projects.- Ensure the timely and budgeted delivery of transport projects, maintaining high-quality standards.Master Planning and Feasibility Design:- Support the delivery of transport projects with a specific focus on master planning feasibility/preliminary design (PFTE for Italy) by analyzing and comparing different transport solutions to achieve given transport demand considering geographical, technical, and budgetary constraints.- Contribute to the development of innovative and effective transportation solutions.Technical Execution:- Execute technical tasks on transport and logistics projects for private clients, public administrations, and research projects.- Perform transport demand analysis.- Perform traffic impact assessment analysis.- Perform goods and passenger flow analysis and optimization.Research and Innovation:- Conduct desk research on innovative transport and mobility solutions.- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to inform project development.Report Preparation:- Prepare comprehensive technical reports in both English and Italian languages.- Ensure that reports meet the required quality standards and provide valuable insights.Simulation and Modeling:- Perform and supervise transport micro and macro simulations using Transcad, PTV Vissim, and similar software.- Analyze simulation results to inform decision-making and project improvements.Reporting and Communication:- Collaborate with systems and civil works designers in the development of presentations, GANTT, and progress reports.- Provide valuable input and advice for successfully executing transport engineering projects.EducationMaster's Degree in Civil Engineering or Transport EngineeringQualificationsDemonstrated experience in master planning and feasibility/preliminary design for transport projects.Proficiency in transport simulation software (e.g.
