Transport Modeller

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Modeller (very FLUENT in Italian and English) with specific experience in the transportation industry, developing complex, multi-modal strategic modelling tools for business cases, traffic due diligence and transportation planning.
You will have experience finding solutions to various challenges and preparing appraisals and data reports for a range of projects and clients.Responsibilities:Work on complex transportation models and related analytical tasks using a range of technical tools (VISUM, VISSIM, Emme, CUBE)Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to provide high-quality consulting and differentiated services to our clientsContribute to effective project performance on both financial and behavioural measuresCandidate Profile:Proven experience using transportation modelling tools to support transportation consultancy including:Macrosimulation Network modelling (VISUM), knowledge of Emme and CUBE will be valuableUnderstanding and application of logit modelsKnowledge of Microsimulation software will be valuable (VISSIM, VISTRO)Knowledge of GIS software will be valuableKnowledge of Statistical analysis (R, Stata) will be valuableProven ability in leading projects to a successful conclusionProven experience in calibration of complex Network ModelsDesire to collaborate and innovate with different teams, as well as work independently when requiredProficiency in Italian and English is required.
Languages of other countries where Steer conducts business (especially Spanish) would be advantageous but not essentialMaster's degree in planning, engineering or related field, ideally with a transportation focus3-5 years of relevant experienceExcellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to explain technical details clearly to non-technical audiences and write in a well-structured and logical way #J-18808-Ljbffr
