Job Description We are currently seeking a Transport and Installation (T&I) Engineer, reporting directly to Modular Design Section Head to join our Engineering team based in Italy, Rome Operating Center. You will work inside the Modular Design Section that is in charge of the management of Proposals, Basic Engineering Design up to Detail Engineering Design of Modularized Onshore Projects. Key interaction of Transport and Installation Engineer is internally with Project teams, Procurement, Construction and other engineering disciplines; externally with Clients, Yard fabricators and Transport Contractors.
T&I engineer shall define and manage all the phases of the T&I activities, including but not exclusive of aspects related to Marine, Lifting, Survey positioning and Load-out activities in close coordination with Project Lead and functional entities. T&I Engineer shall support the structural design of Modules during Land and Sea transportation, by defining transportation layout and input data to structural engineers.
The role and your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Developing concept and detailed lifting arrangements, SPMT layouts, deck layouts and sea-fastenings; Grillage and Sea Fastening Design Lift point Design and Lifting Analysis Load-out / Load-in Analysis Load-out Beam Design Review of technical documentation by Transport Contractors (SPMT, HTV) Issue and review of technical part of requisitions, bid analysis and Purchase Order About You We'd love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:
Qualifications: Master degree in Civil / Structural / Mechanical / Naval Engineering; Languages: fluent in English and in Italian; Main Skills and Requirements: attitude to problem solving; creation of tools for automatization of data management; attitude to perform the work in team, in an international and multi-cultural environment; growth mindset and continuous improvement approach; good presentation and communication skills at all organizational levels; sharp eye for detail and capability to complete tasks on time with the required Company quality level and a high level of precision; availability to international mobility for either short or long term assignment; minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience in the same role in the Oil & Gas sector.
