Join the CrowdGen team as an Independent Contractor for Project Numbat. As a Transcription Specialist for the Numbat project, you will play a key role in contributing to the development of cutting-edge AI-powered speech recognition models. Your task is to provide accurate and high-quality transcriptions following specific guidelines and tagging conventions. The transcriptions you produce will support the creation of inclusive and unbiased AI technologies that enhance communication across languages, dialects, accents, and modes of communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Transcribe audio recordings in the Mandarin language (Wuhan, Dongbei and Shanghai dialects) with a focus on accuracy and adherence to guidelines. Apply specified tagging conventions and make any necessary annotations. Deliver transcriptions that support the development of advanced AI speech recognition models. Ensure high-quality output in line with project expectations and AI specialist standards.
Requirements:
Must live in China and be familiar with one of these dialects: Wuhan, Dongbei and Shanghai Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Familiarity with transcription guidelines or willingness to learn. Ability to work efficiently with provided tools and meet deadlines.
Compensation:
Payments will be based on the actual duration of the audio you submit. The displayed pay rate corresponds to what you would earn for completing and submitting 3,600 seconds (1 hour) of audio. Once familiar with the guidelines, data, and tools, most transcribers are expected to transcribe 12 minutes of audio within 60 minutes.
This role is a project-based opportunity with CrowdGen, where you will join the CrowdGen Community as an Independent Contractor. If selected, you will receive an email from CrowdGen regarding the creation of an account using your application email address. You will need to log in to this account and reset the password, complete the setup requirements, and proceed with your application for this project-based role.
