Purpose of the Job A Trainee is a person who will be included in a training and development process alongside the P&C Manager for a certain period of time with the goal of acquiring all the necessary skills to cover that role in the future. You will support the P&C Manager and act as a business partner for Managers and Leaders of the Unit to contribute to the unit management team to ensure People strategies are locally implemented in the most effective and efficient way. What You'll Need to Have: Good experience in People & Culture area and relevant experience in leading a group of people. Empathetic with a strong ability to communicate with impact and facilitate complex conversations. Analytical and logical mindset with the ability to drive decisions based on people agenda and business needs. Passionate about people, creating an engaging co-worker experience, and leading business through people. Reflects IKEA values. Ability to implement long-term plans according to set budget and goals, developing collaborative relationships. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and be a team player, with the ability to influence and inspire. Knowledge of identifying, assessing, encouraging, and ensuring co-workers' performance against organizational and individual goals. Willingness for future national or international mobility. Ability to speak both in Italian and English (at least B2 level). What You'll Be Doing Day to Day Act as a P&C business partner to the Market Manager on all People topics. Lead and develop the unit P&C team to provide an excellent co-worker experience. Ensure the people strategy and relevant business plans are operationally implemented. Influence unit management team to develop local leadership capabilities. Support building local business competence & performance by setting relevant goals. Ensure delivery of learning & training at unit level. Ensure local employer communication is consistent and builds on the IKEA brand. Secure an up-to-date succession process and plan with a focus on developing talents. Be a good example of IKEA leadership reflecting IKEA values. Responsible for implementation of co-worker relations plan to manage local interactions effectively. Work with the Business Navigation Manager on budget distribution between unit departments.
