EN-VR-12 TRAIN MANAGER Purpose of the Job: Ensures the adequation between train preparation and availability to run during tests phases.Tests on RS Sites – Train Manager's Responsibilities: Representing the Train Validation Engineer on board the train, during validations and certification tests.Preparing the test implementation (staffing, availability of tools and on-board spare parts, etc.).Checking the ability of the train and its environment to complete the test.Giving instructions to the driver.Producing failure reports to the Tests Manager.Producing the test book (test events chronology).Operationally coordinating all the on-board actors.Responsible for the overall safety of the test (EHS) and must make sure that all people on board the train know these EHS rules.Managing the First Aid Box and knowing alert channels in case of an accident.Making sure that test train set's configuration is properly managed.Test on Private Tests Centre – Train Manager's Responsibilities: Representing the TVE on board the train, during validations and certification tests.Preparing the test implementation (staffing, availability of tools and on-board spare parts, etc.).Checking the ability of the train to complete the test.Acting as the interlocutor together with the Test Manager (TV), daily, of the Railway Test Centre and following the organization of various testing phases.At the beginning of any test sequence, confirming to the Test Centre Central Command Room the status of tracks availability and current consignations before authorizing test track access to the testing team.Formal transmission to the Test Centre Central Command Room, when the test shift is over, of the following status: side tracking and steadying of trucks and/or train set, power switch off, and any incident or anomaly encountered during the test shift.Supporting the Test Manager in creating failure reports.Supporting the Test Manager in producing the test book (test events chronology).Operationally coordinating all the on-board actors.Responsible for the safety of all people attending the tests, including subcontractors, and managing the applicable prevention plan.Managing the First Aid Box and knowing alert channels in case of an accident.Ensuring that test train set's configuration is properly managed.Being informed about the train set status, especially modifications performed by the TV team or sub-suppliers, and deciding if the train set is in a safe condition.Representing the TVE on board the train, during validations and certification tests.Preparing the test implementation (staffing, availability of tools and on-board spare parts, etc.).Checking the ability of the train to complete the test.Being the unique interlocutor of the responsible person (Train or Test Manager) nominated by the Testing Body in charge of the tests campaign.Coordinating the work to be done by the various Company teams and the Test Manager regarding their organization and implementation when the train set is not in dynamic tests.Supporting the Alstom Tests Manager in producing failure reports.Supporting the Alstom Tests Manager in producing the test book (test events chronology).Operationally coordinating all the on-board actors, whether they are Alstom or assimilated (Co Parts, suppliers on board the train) under the responsibility of the person in charge (Train or Test Manager).Requirements: Experience in managing occupational safety issues.Knowledge of English.Good communication and synthesis skills.Availability for medium-long term travel abroad.Knowledge of railway.Experience in tests on vehicles.Why Work for Us?
