You will serve as a TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Logistics Directorate of COMUSNAVEUR-COMSIXTHFLEET SEA.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Provide guidance on Movement Control Operations of transportation concepts, principles, and methodology, transportation industry operations, practices, and capabilities;Coordinate special handling or movement requirements associated with freight, fleet management program, passengers, or other transportation operations to assure economical and effective operation of passenger and cargo movement;Maintain control over traffic management and logistics regulations to assure the propriety and legality of passenger and cargo movement within the area of operation;Plan, coordinate, and maintain in transit visibility of movement requirements to ensure the development, integration, and use of advanced technology in the transportation field.NOTE: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for the position.

Physical Demands: Significant amount of time on feet in association with frequent travel and site visits to industrial transportation facilities such as air and ocean cargo terminals, piers, ships, cargo aircraft, and other such activities requiring physical mobility and stamina, e.g., climbing stairs, ladders, and stooping. Extended periods are spent using computerized systems.
You must be deployable. As situation warrant, team member will be required to perform duties while deployed at sea on a naval vessel or remote work locations, to include an austere field location to support various exercise/operations the command may be tasked to support.
The work is primarily sedentary, although some physical exertion is necessary such as walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces. Work requires recurring lifting of moderately heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment: The work is mostly performed in an office setting with frequent site visits, inspections, technical assistance visits, and attendance at briefings, working groups, and conferences requiring transoceanic and intra-theater flights on both commercial and military aircraft. You may be exposed to harsh weather conditions while executing duties at various outdoor transportation and logistics facilities.
