Offer DescriptionThe research focuses on the archaeological study of metallurgical production in Ebla in the 3rd and 2nd millennium BCE, with particular attention to typological aspects, manufacturing, and use of metal objects.
The work emphasizes the contextualization of data to analyze the associations between various elements, distinguishing the transitions from production to marketing and their use in different contexts and areas of the city during the 3rd and 2nd millennium BCE.
Furthermore, comparisons with sites in the Ebla region in north-western Syria will help understand the importance of metal object production within the socio-economic framework, as documented in contemporary administrative texts of the Early Bronze Age and Middle Bronze Age.
