TEST LABORATORY ENGINEER
Purpose of the Job:
He/she carries out type, validation, or investigation tests, and prepares reports. He/she defines and implements the most appropriate testing methodology and means of testing. He/she develops test operating modes and analyses test results. Position in the Organisation
Organisation Reporting:
Hierarchical and Functional: He/she reports to the Test Laboratory Manager.
Network & Links:
Internal Interfaces: Project Validation Manager, TTL – Test team Leader, Validation Engineers, Test Laboratory Manager, Test Engineers.
External Interfaces: Subcontractors, Test laboratories.
Missions Performance Measurement/KPI's
Relevant part of the QCD Responsibilities Accountable for:
Defining the most appropriate test methodology, testing means and developing the test operating mode in accordance with the costs, time and pass-fail criterion set for the test.
Responsible for:
Preparing the execution of the tests he/she is responsible for. Participating in the design and the development of the tools necessary for performing the tests. Implementing, verifying (functional), and ensuring compliance (calibration) of the measuring equipment to be ready at the time of the test. Preparing the equipment for testing. Validating that the applied configuration and prerequisite testing allows the testing to proceed. Respecting EHS rules, notably implementing LockOut-TagOut instruction. Supervising and/or executing test activities, analyzing test results "live" and deciding if test must be redone or not. Test results data analysis, writing static and dynamic test reports. Knowledge & Experience:
Experienced in ISO 17025 advantageous. Mechanical/Electro-technical/Electrical knowledge. Tests organization capability, knowledge of planning tools. Fluent in English. Innovation
Shall input REX from Validation standpoint, notably on validation methods/tools improvement (from a quality, duration and cost point of view) on his/her scope of activities in particular to decrease the time spent on trains.
