Your Role As a System Test Commissioning Engineer you will execute test and commissioning activities on field in support of one or several Projects.
Main Responsibilities In support of one or several Projects on railway signalling systems under the direction of his/her hierarch: According to the testing procedure/documentation and following Subsystem TC Engineer a/o Leader instructions: Execute system configuration activities in factory labs and on the field: SW baseline installation for signalling systems such as Interlocking for Railway Systems Configuration integrity check and startup Sub-systems functional tests Integration check between sub-systems Execute system testing activities: Conformity tests Performance tests Requirements tests Ensure defects identification and correction (trouble shooting) In the event of a non-conformity observed during the commissioning phase, make a return experience (REX) towards the project, and ensure that all design-related issues are correctly reported in the adequate tools, including the defect description and associated test context Deliver the committed performance in terms of Quality, Costs, and Deadlines and in compliance with Alstom policies, local standards, and regulations (EHS and Railway Safety) Qualifications: Technical bachelor's degree in electronics or electricity or equivalent experience in a function in the industrial environment Knowledge of Linux-based operating systems (Centos, Redhat, Ubuntu) Knowledge of LAN network (protocols, subnet, VLAN, and switch) Virtual machines and environment Previous TC or Maintenance experience for Railway Signaling Team working/problem solving/networking attitudes Available to travel all around Italy Flexibility for turn over day/night and weekend when needed on the field Access to Smartworking if/when compatible with to-dos Important to Note As a global business, we're an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 70+ countries we operate in.
