Your mission that helps to make the logistics industry more sustainable We are seeking a dedicated Terminal Support Specialist (m/f/d) to oversee and facilitate the efficient operation of our terminal facilities at our location in Domodossola.
In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks essential to maintaining quality, efficiency, and compliance within our terminal operations.
Your key responsibilities include: Oversee the check-in/check-out procedures for trailers and ensure their proper loading onto CargoBeamer wagons.
Conduct inspections of inbound and outbound trains, documenting movements and operations.
Inspect, maintain, and, if necessary, repair CargoBeamer wagons and equipment to meet regulatory standards.
Manage complaints and address Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) issues within the eLogistics system.
Assist in optimizing terminal operations by ensuring high-quality, efficient, and timely dispatch processes.
Support the upkeep and maintenance of terminal facilities, meeting Service Level 1 standards.
Act as a key point of contact for inquiries, working closely with the sales team to provide accurate and timely responses.
Ensure the implementation and adherence to weekly and monthly operational plans.
Manage general maintenance of the railway siding and terminal area.
Ensure compliance with local standards, statutory regulations, and internal policies, particularly in occupational health and safety, as well as environmental protection.
Operationally manage terminal operators (both internal and external) at the ground level.
You should have Completion of technical training, along with several years of relevant professional experience.
Basic knowledge of business administration.
Possession of a PDT - A Shunting Driver certificate.
Solid understanding of rail shunting dynamics , both within and outside railway junctions.
Familiarity with railway equipment and its routine maintenance procedures.
Forklift driver's licence and proficiency in forklift maneuvering.
Preferred: Experience in rail traffic management or a background in rail/transport operations.
Strong focus on health and safety , ensuring the smooth and secure operation of terminal activities.
Hands-on approach with the ability to adapt flexibly to operational demands.
Proficiency in English and Italian .
