We are particularly interested in candidates whose research and teaching can address the connections of rhetoric, culture, and power to areas/topics such as critical race studies, feminist and queer studies, indigenous studies, and/or global perspectives.
Those candidates who can contribute to Villanova's interdisciplinary areas (Africana Studies, Disability and Deaf Studies, Gender and Women's Studies, and/or Latin American Studies) are especially encouraged to apply.With one of the largest undergraduate majors in the College of Liberal Arts Sciences, the Department of Communication offers course work leading to the B.A.
in Communication with opportunities to specialize in eight different areas of the discipline.
In addition, the Department supports a thriving M.A.
program in Communication.

Candidates will be expected to pursue an active program of research in one or more of the areas indicated above.
Service responsibilities will include student advising and mentoring, as well as curriculum development and assessment.

in Communication (ABD considered; completion by August 2025) with an emphasis in critical rhetorical studies.
