What is a tender?
A tender is a process through which an organization requests proposals from interested transportation or logistics service providers to deliver specific services.
This process is usually governed by a document called a "tender notice" or "tender document," which outlines the organization's needs, the requirements for the requested services, the selection criteria for providers, and the submission procedures for bids.
What will I be responsible for?
The candidate will manage the entire tender process for individual clients from the pre-qualification phase to business implementation, specifically: Completing RFIs (Request for Information): These aim to filter potential providers invited to participate in the tender based on their qualities and capabilities (this phase determines our qualification for the tender).
Analyzing tender documents: service requirements, KPIs, shipment databases, quoting files.
Preparing the offer/calculating rates: Collaborating with the team for formulating offers Determining rates using available tools.
Submitting the offer to the client: sending the economic proposal and required documentation (cover letter; tailored presentations).
Receiving/sharing feedback: responding to clarifications, sharing feedback with departments, negotiating.
Business allocation (AWARD): supporting operational implementation, assisting in contract negotiations.
Throughout the entire tender process: Supporting the sales force and operational departments.
Conducting online meetings with international clients.
Presenting and negotiating in languages (mainly English, German, Italian).
What qualities are we looking for?
Reliability Continuous learning Flexibility Work organization Teamwork Results orientation Requirements: Minimum education: ITS in Logistics and Transport.
A bachelor degree in Economics is preferred.
Fluent in Italian and English.
Additional language preferred.
