For a chemical multinational company we are searching for a
TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST Who will support technically the unit in ensuring that production plans are met in a safe, stable, predictable and consistent manner, under guidance of the Unit-Leader, related to adherence to the plan, products specification & quality, making emphasis in the most efficient manner that can be achieved by the existing assets. Ensure a continuous improvement of energy and yield efficiency through conceptual development of modifications of the existing assets.
ACTIVITIES: Provide support to Unit Manager in troubleshooting and risk assessment execution when deviations occur.Define critical process parameters of the plant (process operating envelope) in support of the equipment maintenance strategies, energy efficiency targets and production yields, and track adherence to these parameters (OWAP).Check on daily basis the resources consumption (feedstock, energy, utilities, catalysts) whether they are lined up with the agreed targets.In case of deviation, he/she develops, jointly with the unit personnel, corrective actions. Propose process modifications to improve plant performances either related to the variable cost or SHE and regulatory compliance requirements, developing projects until the feasibility stage.Participation in Safety Study like HAZOP as the unit know-how technical owner, together with a representative of Production.Support operating personnel during the commissioning and startup of the improvements and modifications.Support the unit manager in efficiency KPIs development and setting.Main interface with R&D, Licensors on product and/or technology development.Main interface with Marketing & Sales in support of the development of a growth, improvement & GHG reduction roadmaps for the unit.Develop the annual variable cost budget according to the forecasted unit setup and operational constrains.SKILLS: Degree in Chemical engineering or Industrial Chemistry master degree.3 years' experience in a similar role.A genuine interest in understanding process issues, relevant Process Safety standards, new technologies for a continuous improvement mindset.Attention to the details and a methodical approach to work.Business awareness: the ability to work within business constraints.Working in team capability is an essential skill required.Knowledge of English language.High potential new graduates will be also evaluated.
