Overview and ResponsibilitiesThe Settembre Lab is seeking a highly motivated technician candidate to work in a diverse and collaborative research environment. The candidate will support the laboratory's work on high throughput and high content screening projects to identify novel regulators of selective autophagy. Additionally, the candidate will be involved in routine experiments, such as western blotting, genotyping, DNA preparation, and protein purifications.
SalaryWe offer a competitive salary and benefits. The gross annual salary ranges from €19,000 to €27,500, depending on experience. Specifics will be discussed individually with applicants. Candidates coming to Italy for the first time, or returning after residing abroad, may take advantage of attractive income tax benefits.
Required QualificationsTechnician candidates should have a master's degree in biology or a related discipline and a background in basic molecular and cell biology techniques (PCR, cloning, RT-PCR, western-blot, cell culture, transfection, ELISA, etc.). Experience in lab animal handling is a plus.
