JOB OVERVIEW:TE Connectivity's Technical Engineering Support Team assists in the analysis, testing, and research for product and process development, specializing in areas such as quality control, chemical manufacturing, electrical components, and environmental safety. Team members manage and prioritize engineering projects to meet deadlines and budget requirements, with responsibilities including calibration, network control, and EHS tasks. They may work directly with customers to understand needs, gather requirements, and assess project risks.
This is an on-site, temporary role with a 12-month contract.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Skill in use of scanning electron microscopePreparation of samples for microscopy analysis (Optical and SEM)Performs routine maintenance on microscopes and equipmentInvestigation of the surface texture, shape accuracy, chemical-physical compositionKnowledge of main base materials and surface finishes of automotive terminalsKnowledge of mechanisms of fretting corrosion on terminal surface finishes induced by mechanical test and vibrationsKnowledge of vibration test principles and failure mechanisms on automotive connectorsInvestigations on reliability, function and quality of automotive terminalsEnsure compliance with all Company policies and procedures including safety rules, 5S+1 and Quality management regarding IATF 16949, ISO 17025Create test reports in EnglishClose cooperation with development departments and Laboratories across TE EMEA organizationKNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Degree in technical disciplines (Engineering/ Material Science/ Chemistry)Fluent in spoken and written EnglishOne year experience as a lab technician with specialized training on electron microscope equipmentENVIRONMENT, SAFETY, AND HEALTH:Observe constantly the company rules and regulations regarding environment, safety and healthRespect Italian / European Safety norms / TE normsRegular Audit by external accredited agency for Lab processed.
