**Position Summary**:
For our Pomazia site, we are looking for a Technical Writer to join R&D Team!
Technical Writer will:
- Update manuals and write instructions and procedures within the New Product Development and Engineering change(s) projects to meet schedule, quality and readability goals
- Work independently with mínimal supervision on routine activities and under general supervision of Manager R&D on non-routine activities
- Perform various duties related to translation, desktop publishing, publication and distribution
**Duties**:
**Technical Axis**:
- Execute the technical writing activities required from New Product Development & Engineering change(s) project(s), including information collection from the various Engineering disciplines, review and verification
- Update technical content of existing documentation to produce structured and clear instructions and procedures with excellent readability and usability for various audiences
- Perform technical documentation publication and distribution
- Contribute to the preparation of customer accessories instructions
- Follow internal Quality System procedures as well as Corporate labeling standards
- Solve problems related to technical writing, desktop publishing, publication and distribution
- Support translation from Italian and English into other required languages for various types of technical documents
**Project Axis**:
- Work on understanding complex notions to update documents fit for diverse audiences from highly-specialized personnel to every-day users
- Work independently with mínimal supervision on routine activities and under general supervision of Senior Technical Writer or R&D Manager on none-routine activities
**Duties - cont'd**:
- Collaborate with groups outside of direct responsibilities including other engineering groups, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, Service, etc.
- Assist in updating and revising technical documents for capital equipment and consumable products including, but not limited to, Technica Data sheet, Uncrating/Installation instructions, Operator manuals and Maintenance manuals
- Work with product and service engineers to implement engineering changes which affect product documentation
- Participate in the adaptation of existing product documentation to integrate new products
- Proofread documents for readability, grammar accuracy, consistency with corporate standards and completeness.
Obtain signed approvals as required
- Responsible for self-direction in scheduling workload and prioritizing tasks under the supervision of a Senior Technical Writer or R&D Manager
**Education Degree**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering General or Mechanical Engineering**Required Experience**:
- Requires a minimum of 1 year of related technical writing experience
- Bachelor in a technical field (i.e.
Mechanical Engineering)
- English language level: advanced
- Strong communication skills
- Exceptional team player
- Experience with stringent documentation control in a highly regulated industry; medical preferred
- General knowledge in a variety of technologies and manufacturing methods, such as electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics, programming and overall system engineering
- Proficient in Illustration software such as Creo, Creo Illustrate, IsoDraw, Paint, etc.
- Proficient in Desktop publishing software such as Windchill PLM, PTC Arbortext, Pagemaker, Framemaker, MS Office Suite, etc.
- Proficient in Document management system within company's Quality management system (ISO-9001)
