About us What if the work you did every day could impact the lives of people you know? Or all of humanity?
At Illumina, we are expanding access to genomic technology to realize health equity for billions of people around the world. Our efforts enable life-changing discoveries that are transforming human health through the early detection and diagnosis of diseases and new treatment options for patients.
Working at Illumina means being part of something bigger than yourself. Every person, in every role, has the opportunity to make a difference. Surrounded by extraordinary people, inspiring leaders, and world changing projects, you will do more and become more than you ever thought possible.
About the role Multiomics (multiple omics) provides an integrated approach to power discovery across multiple levels of biology. By combining data from genomics, transcriptomics, epigenetics, and proteomics, researchers can achieve a more comprehensive understanding of molecular changes contributing to normal development, cellular response, and disease. Regardless of the method chosen, Illumina offers solutions powered by NGS to enable the next multiomics studies and analyses.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Multiomics Specialist, with a strong focus on proteomics, to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multiomics technologies (genomics, transcriptomics, epigenetics, and proteomics). As a Multiomics Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by promoting our comprehensive suite of multiomics products and services to academic institutions, pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology firms, and research laboratories within the Mediterranean subregion (Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Slovenia, Croatia, Malta, and Cyprus).

Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, providing expert guidance to help them navigate the complexities of multiomics research and achieve their scientific objectives. Leverage the Milan Solution Center to host events showcasing Illumina as the top partner in multiomics research with NGS, strengthening customer bonds. Stay updated on emerging trends in multiomics to shape effective sales strategies. Actively participate in sales activities by providing technical expertise throughout the sales process, offering consultations on applications, assay design, and data analysis/interpretation. Identify and assess sales leads, cultivate new business prospects, and develop robust relationships with key decision-makers within the multiomics research community. Conduct comprehensive product presentations and consultative discussions to demonstrate the value proposition of our integrated multiomics solutions. Collaborate with Specialists, Territory Account Managers (TAMs), and District Sales Managers (DSMs) to align and contribute to strategic territory plans effectively. Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product management, and service and support to ensure alignment of sales efforts with company objectives and customer needs. Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility, establish thought leadership, and engage with potential customers. Qualifications: Strong background in multiomics (genomics, transcriptomics, epigenetics, and especially, proteomics). Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences. Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven mindset, with a passion for omics technologies. Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs, articulate value propositions, and drive sales engagements. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Bachelor's or Master's degree in life sciences, bioinformatics, molecular biology, or a related field; Ph.D. is a plus.
