Position Summary The candidate is a highly organized, self-motivating individual with excellent communication skills. The candidate promotes and sells Pure-Flo and EnviZion (PF) products directly in the market and through distributors, representatives, and Engineering Firms (A&E's). The candidate is a hands-on salesperson who spends most of their time traveling in the region to visit customers, discover new opportunities, and increase sales. They identify new sales opportunities with existing and new customers, coordinate quote activities, and pursue orders to maximize product sales.
The candidate develops new OEM accounts that build skids and systems. Furthermore, the candidate will be responsible for discovering and exploring large CAPEX projects by end-users, resulting in the sale and installation of ITT valves.
The territory will initially be Belgium, Italy, Spain, CH, A, F, and Hungary. Markets and territory may change in the future. The candidate is expected to support other activities in the region as required by the Sales Director EMEA, India & APAC.
Essential ResponsibilitiesUse persuasion, logic, and product expertise to promote and sell various valves/products to end-users, Engineering companies (A&E accounts), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), and distributors.Develop and expand the distribution network in the territory.Discover and work on new CAPEX projects to get PF valves specified and installed.Be responsible for the entire sales process, from lead generation to aftermarket support in the region.Maintain an up-to-date territory plan and work accordingly.Travel nationally and internationally approximately 60% of the time to visit key accounts and distributors to achieve intensive customer contacts.Perform specification work for day-to-day business and on projects with A&E's, OEM's, and end-users.Conduct product information seminars and training for end users, A&E accounts, distributors, and representatives. Assist distributors and representatives' sales personnel in making sales calls and securing orders for PF products.Provide ITT with detailed information on the competitive landscape in the territory.Maintain reports for active projects and opportunities and support the monthly reporting and forecasting process in a timely manner.Communicate extensively with the direct supervisor on all customers, sales channels, and company matters.Maintain up-to-date distributor/representative sales action plans, monitor, and report progress towards goals.Report to and follow the directions given by the Sales Director EMEA, India & APAC.Position RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Business, Marketing, or a technical field is preferred. At least 5 years of outside technical valve sales experience is preferred. Channel management experience, sale of valves or related products, or other capital equipment is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. The candidate must be fluent in German and English (verbally and in writing).
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTING SKILLS Ability to effectively utilize word processing software, spreadsheets, and to navigate and use other custom applications software in a MS Windows environment.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid driver's license.
