The Digital Products Centre of Excellence is at the heart of the Vodafone Digital Engineering providing the foundation for all our digital applications including the My Vodafone app, TOBi and web portals. The digital experience layer is the cornerstone of this solution: a platform composed of cloud infrastructure, development platform and APIs.
As part of our group you will help us build and maintain our development platform and you'll get to work with modern technologies like Kubernetes, AWS Cloud, Terraform and mongoDB.
Role Purpose We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to lead and drive the development of our DXL Platform. As a Technical Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in defining the product strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality technical solutions that align with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities Product Strategy and Roadmap: Collaborate to develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap for the DXL Platform. Work on the product vision and ensure alignment with the company's strategic objectives. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership to the product development team, including software engineers, designers, and QA engineers. Collaborate with the development team to make informed technical decisions and ensure the product's technical excellence. Identify and solve technical challenges related to user authentication, data integration, and platform efficiencies. Requirement Gathering and Prioritization: Gather and prioritize product requirements, user stories, and features based on customer needs and market insights. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of product requirements and expectations. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, customer support, and engineering, to drive product success. Foster effective communication and ensure everyone is aligned with the product goals. Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality assurance process to ensure that the DXL Platform meets high-quality standards. Conduct testing and quality control checks as needed. Product Performance and Analytics: Monitor product performance, gather feedback, and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Use analytics and metrics to make data-driven decisions and guide product enhancements. Documentation and Training: Create and maintain product documentation, including user guides, technical documentation, and training materials. Provide training and support to internal teams and customers as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering). Proven experience as a Technical Product Manager or similar role in a technical environment. Strong technical background with a deep understanding of APIs, Identity Management, Distributed Systems/Microservice Architecture. Ability to interact, communicate and build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders. Effective communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Humble, collaborative, team player, willing to step up and support colleagues. Knowledge of and experience in delivering software projects using lean/agile methodologies. Understanding of and experience in product discovery, optimization, and delivery techniques, as well as the development process. Fluent English.
