The role involves reporting to the Sourcing Manager and being based at the Porcari (Lucca) facility, with the responsibility of managing procurement for a total of three plants.
What You Will Do Supplier Research and Selection: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of materials and technical components, assessing quality, costs, and their ability to meet company requirements.Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms and conditions, including prices, delivery times, and payment terms, to ensure the best value for the company.Purchase Order Management: Issue purchase orders for materials and technical components, ensuring all technical specifications are met and orders are delivered on time.Supplier Performance Monitoring: Evaluate and monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery times, and compliance with technical specifications, managing any quality issues or delivery delays.Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality departments to ensure that purchased materials and components meet technical and production requirements.Market Trend Analysis: Analyze material costs and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve cost efficiency.Regulatory Compliance Assurance: Ensure that all purchased materials and components comply with applicable regulations and safety standards.Support to the Category Team: Collaborate in defining the global strategy and drafting contracts.Who You Are Degree in industrial engineering, economics, or similar fields.No prior experience required, but a strong aptitude for the role.Ability to negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to obtain the best value.Capability to develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, assess their performance, and manage any issues.Ability to analyze material costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.Ability to plan and organize procurement activities to ensure materials are available when needed.Ability to quickly and effectively identify and resolve technical and logistical issues.Clear and effective communication skills with suppliers, colleagues, and other departments.Ability to collaborate with various teams, including engineering, production, and quality.Preferable experience using enterprise management software (such as SAP, Oracle, etc.).Proficiency in common computer tools (Microsoft Office, etc.).Good command of both written and spoken English and Italian to interact with international suppliers and read technical documentation.Ability to adapt to changes and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations.If you meet the above requirements and are ready to contribute to a dynamic team dedicated to achieving excellence, we would love to hear from you.
