In coordination with the Program Leader of the area of Fashion Design, the teacher ensures the preparation, delivery of lessons and all teaching activities relating to the course of Pattern Making, guaranteeing the quality standards expected by Istituto Marangoni. He / She supports students in achieving their educational objectives, reporting any critical issues in the students' learning or educational path to the area Program Leader. He / She is responsible for the development of the teaching material relating to the course of Pattern Making requested by Program Leader and Istituto Marangoni. Key purpose of the role 1. Teaching Activities He / She carries out the teaching activities required by the teaching assignment (lessons, exams, workshops, seminars) ensuring compliance with the quality standards set by Istituto Marangoni. He / She plans and carries out educational activities with a clear and appropriate approach for students following the SOW (scheme of work) of the programs in order to allow the achievement of the established educational objectives. He / She constantly collaborates with the area Program Leader in order to improve the students' learning experience. He / She collaborates with the entire Faculty in order to create a dynamic and scientifically cutting-edge environment. 2. Relationship with Students He / She plans teaching activities in the classroom or laboratory in such a way as to encourage the success of the students' educational path. He / She monitors any critical situations and reports them to the area Program Leader. Professional and Education Background Fashion Pattern Maker with a background in womenswear and/or menswear for the luxury market;
Creative, stimulating, and forward-thinking. Capable of understanding the latest trends and various pattern-making techniques, guiding students in their personal collections and sector-related projects;
Focus on: Fashion pattern making: traditional pattern-making techniques, manipulation of materials and fabrics, construction of a wide selection of garments (traditional tailoring, dresses, jersey, avant-garde); ther garment construction methods such as draping and moulage;
Experience as a teacher in other contexts is a plus; Fluency in English; Degree in fashion/luxury industry is a plus.
