**The Role**
For our Private Client and Tax team in Milan, we are seeking a well-organised and driven Trainee Lawyer (_praticante avvocato_) or Trainee CPA (_praticante_ _commercialista_).
Key elements of the role include:
- Conducting legal research
- Drafting tax and legal memos
- Helping with business development activities, supporting the preparation of pitches and tenders
- Managing, reviewing and analysing documents
- Assisting with client events
- Producing accurate, high-quality work quickly and efficiently, utilising the firm's software packages and document management systems
- Upon request, preparing first drafts of terms of engagement letters; using electronic file opening, ensuring AML requirements are adhered to and requesting necessarily Know Your Client documentation
- Other general administrative tasks
**Key skills and experience**
- Graduate in Law or Economics
- Outstanding academic record (at least 102/110)
- Fluency in both Italian and English is required for communication (a C1 level of English is required)
- Prior work experience in corporate tax and/or post-graduate master's degree in taxation are considered a nice to have
- Knowledge of both domestic and international tax issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiastic and engaged attitude with excellent people skills and a good, clear communication style
- Strong research abilities
- Teamwork is essential and you will frequently collaborate with colleagues in our overseas offices
- Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
