We are searching for a Tax Stats Manager, Italy, to report to the Head of Tax Operations (located in the UK) and become a key member of the Global Tax team in GSK.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in Italy Tax compliance (ideally across taxes), with management experience.
The role will focus on supporting the business to achieve its compliance and strategic obligations and provide expert guidance to manage and mitigate risks.
This role will be based in Italy (Siena) and will work closely with the national, international, and global peer groups and leadership teams across multiple disciplines including Finance, Legal, and Commercial teams.
In this role YOU will: Lead a team of 5 Tax Statutory professionals; Oversee and review the preparation and finalization of statutory financial reports based on Italian GAAPs, reviewing the preparation and finalization of Tax compliance including Indirect Tax, Corporate Tax and WHT obligations, with development of compliance KPIs and monitoring; Fulfill other accounting and tax obligations including impact assessments of legislative change and ensure stable processes with the business to ensure timely and accurate data (including internal audit documentation); Support in the provision of documents and information to the tax authorities in case of audit, as well as management of the liaisons with the Board of Directors, the Statutory Board of Auditors and the independent auditing firm in relation to all the aforementioned obligations; Build relationships across the business with strong stakeholder management, proactively gathering feedback and designing ways of working to assist with better business support models; Ensure all risks and issues within the market are mitigated, resolved and communicated using the governance frameworks.
