Purpose of the Job: Tax advisors or analysts are highly detail-oriented professionals who use a strong grasp of mathematics and excellent tax know-how to manage all tax paperwork for the company. The Tax Function is responsible for all tax affairs of the group worldwide. Its successful management has a significant impact on net profit, earning per share, and cash flow. The objective of the Tax Function is to deliver the highest quality and most business-oriented tax services, in a timely and proactive manner. Key Responsibilities: To be the guardian of the rules, ensuring proper compliance with regard to direct and indirect taxes (including in certain countries, the filing of the tax returns and the related payments). To be a recognized business partner managing day-to-day tax compliance with a good deal of independence and close relationships with business stakeholders and the finance community. To draft accurate tax reporting in relation to the Region (Tax reporting package Cash tax) for each Group deadline. To assist in preparing timely, accurate, and complete annual tax computations, including the tax provision for the statutory accounts. To interact with finance teams in order to obtain reliable data and information for tax calculation. To monitor legislative changes ensuring internal processes and procedures are properly and consistently arranged. Co-manage (with accounting) tax audits. To assist in providing tax advisory support to all the business in the Region for tenders implying multi-entity and multinational scope ensuring compliance and optimization of tax matters through tender and project execution phases. Key Accountabilities: The Tax Advisor is a member of the Tax team. She/he will provide tax support during the tender activities while assessing and anticipating the tax impacts of the contemplated projects, based on applicable legislations & regulations of the relevant jurisdictions, and in line with the sector transfer pricing policy. It includes all types of taxes: direct indirect, local international. The tax advisor will further assist during the execution of the project to allow smooth implementation of tax recommendations and proper corresponding tax compliance (incl. audits). The tax advisor shall also animate/co-animate internal tax training sessions. Reviewing, assessing, and optimizing from a tax standpoint international tenders, contracts, and projects in coordination with Operations, Regions, and other support functions. Participate in monitoring all Sector types of tax issues: cross-border payments, transfer pricing policy in the industry, tax M&A related to projects. Provide support during tax audits of foreign affiliates. Assistance to local finance contacts. Monitor rating for tax risks relating to projects. Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other degree with equivalent accounting experience. Three to five years of working experience in Multinational Companies, major Auditing Companies, or primary Tax Firms. Good knowledge of local and international accounting principles and tax legislation. Fluent in English and local language. Strong computer technical skills - MS Excel. Strong organizational skills & attention to detail. Strong math skills to accurately record and transcribe detailed financial information into tax forms. Analytical skills. Strong communication skills - both oral and written. Team-player, customer-centric attitude. Ability to work in an international environment.
