R&D _ System Engineer
The R&D System Engineer will join the Development team of Laser Marking BU and technical management of assigned new product(s) development projects



Role Mission:
Engineering design and technical management of assigned new product(s) development projects.



Key Responsibilities: Analyze Stakeholders (Product Manager, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Service and Support, etc.) needs and develop clearly-stated functional and performance requirements. Develop innovative approaches for system design and integration, proactively working and interacting with Product Manager and R&D Manager Apply systems thinking to optimize product design and development, from concept to production and service. Secure adequate Verification and Validation programs coverage of single elements, sub-system up to complete system aimed to warrant proper compliance with functional, performance and quality requirements. Supervise Verification and Validation programs execution and results and directly execute, verify and validate key product functional, performance and quality requirements compliance during New Product Development phases. Secure proper analysis, requirement definition, planning and implementation of design changes within Product Development phases (requested by Stakeholders and/or, from Verification and Validation programs, or Customer Site Tests, etc.) Effectively manage cost, schedules and risk in engineering tasks according to project commitments. Coordinate engineering activities, with multidisciplinary teams, at multiple locations Collaborate with multiple stakeholders within Product Development Process, namely Product Manager, Program Manager, Product Development Committee, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Service and Support, etc. Requirements: Educational: Master or higher degree in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics (or equivalent in the field of Lasers, Photonics systems or sub systems). Languages: Italian and/or English (fluent). Experience: 3-5 years as Systems Engineer of new product development or equivalent; Knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and New Product development (NPD) tools and processes. Other Skills and competence: Experience with mechatronic, lasers and/or photonics product development, Experience with coordination of multidisciplinary product development engineering teams Knowledge of JAZZ, DOORS, SAP or equivalent being open-minded and able to think "out-of-the-box" to capture the Big Picture and able to analyze the situation under different viewpoints while considering the several constrain factors; problem solving mind set and strong focus on delivery; being versatile and flexible to the real situation and to the interaction with people with different backgrounds and technical competences/skills.
