Position SummaryMain ResponsibilitiesDefine the validation plan for each project phase and test procedures according to test standards, customer needs, and engineering needs.Work in cooperation with the Chief Engineer and all other System Engineers to ensure that the design conforms to all customer requirements, internal requirements, and specifications.Lead and coordinate experimental activities in collaboration with Testing Engineers and Technicians from the test laboratory, including defining test sample pedigree, resource needs, test bench allocation, and supporting external supplier relationships.Generate structured test reports for each validation plan and report results to the customer and internal stakeholders.Proactively identify and help to manage risks and opportunities, monitor progress, and support the definition of countermeasures in case of test failure or significant deviation from product requirements.Ensure the timely achievement of project milestones within the defined budget through the defined Product Development Design Review Process.Job Position RequirementsEducation: University Master Degree in Electric, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or similar.
Professional Background: 3+ years' experience in a similar role in system engineering functions for complex systems in automotive (or Tier 2) or aeronautic companies. Experience in E-drive system development and verification or testing.
Hard Skills Clear understanding of technical specifications, both mechanical and electrical/electronics, to ensure test designs and deliverables comply with product requirements.Knowledge of automotive product development processes.Experience on test-bench or vehicle-based testing activities.Knowledge of datalog (CANape) and postprocessing (Matlab) tools.Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis techniques.Fluent English - written, verbal, and presentation skills required.Experience in powertrain or driveline development of systems and/or components (eDrive preferred, transmission, active differential).Considered as a Plus: Ability to use Vector CANape, vCDM, ETAS INCA.Soft Skills Strong interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels within and outside Dana in a professional manner.Ability to multi-task effectively on projects and assignments.Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and goals.A team player, who is both flexible and creative in their approach to problem-solving.
