JR60888 System Validation Engineer System Validation Engineer As a Validation Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc. you will be responsible for Managed NAND FW debug at system platforms level, developing software and hardware tools needed for analysis.
Through the design/integration team you will provide support regarding MNAND products like eMMC and UFS, in Android/Linux platforms to:
FW, validation and verification team for internal issues; BU's Application engineers for customer issues. The ideal candidate for this role would share our passion for debug and for problem solving, he/she should resolve problems through innovative tools or methodologies.
We are looking for a highly talented, passionate, and versatile engineer that can contribute to pave the path of the next methodologies of debug and validation of MNAND product on Android/Linux platforms.
Responsibilities Run system validation on Android platforms (phones and development boards) Develop source code/tools targeting the embedded system Enable and modify host platform management Provide configurations/options tradeoff analysis for future MNAND design Run benchmark tools and critical analysis of their output (e.g.: performances data) Design automatic kernel logging system (e.g.: dmesg, kmsg, ftrace, etc.) Kernel driver error handling Build kernel Linux to enable/disable MNAND features Successful candidates for this position will have: Validation experiences Experience of Bash Shell script and validation flow Python knowledge Programming skill in C (C++ is a plus) Basic Knowledge of Android architecture Experience with lab tools: Protocol Analyzers, Logic Analyzers, oscilloscopes, JTAG/ICE debuggers, … Additional experience that will constitute a plus: In depth experience of testing and test coverage to ensure validation quality and time-to-market (design verification, code reviews, prototyping and product testing). Experience with one or more of the following data storage technologies: NAND, SSD, eMMC or UFS. Experience in firmware development and validation, system failure analysis and problem solving Familiarity and practices with modern protocol analyzer and software development methodologies Desired Skills Include Analytic analysis capability Good English knowledge (speech and writing) Be action-oriented and organized Availability to travel abroad Education & Experience: Master's degree or bachelor's in computer science engineering, Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
