Mission The DCS System Specialist Engineer role at our industrial automation solutions company entails collaborating with senior engineers to design, configure, and deploy DCS solutions for diverse industries. With 2-3 years of experience, you'll assist in requirements gathering, system architecture design, and solution development within established timelines and budgets. What will you do? Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to design, configure, and deploy Distributed Control Systems (DCS) solutions for industrial automation projects, mainly for O&G and Chemicals plants. Assist in requirements gathering, system architecture design, and solution development to meet project objectives and client specifications within established timelines and budgets. Configure DCS hardware components, including controllers, input/output modules, communication interfaces, and network devices, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance. Develop and implement control strategies, logic diagrams, and human-machine interface (HMI) screens using DCS programming languages and software tools. Conduct system integration, testing, and commissioning activities to verify system functionality, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards. Provide technical support to clients and end-users during system deployment, startup, and operation, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and optimizing system performance as needed. Document system designs, configurations, test results, and operational procedures, maintaining accurate records and documentation for future reference, training, and knowledge sharing. Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in DCS system engineering, actively participating in training programs and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge. Adhere to safety standards, cybersecurity protocols, and regulatory requirements in all aspects of software development and deployment. What qualifications will make you successful for this role? Master or Bachelor degree in Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. At least 2 or 3 years of experience in the design, configuration, and deployment of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) or PLC for industrial automation projects. Proficiency in DCS/PLC programming languages and HMI development software. Strong understanding of DCS/PLC hardware components, communication protocols, and system architectures. Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team-based environment. Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and end-users and to work in a multicultural environment. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of DCS/PLC system engineering. A good knowledge of written and spoken English is required as the projects are developed in an international environment. AVEVA technology knowledge (e.g. InBatch, Intouch, System Platform,) TUV Functional Safety certification Oil&Gas projects experience Cybersecurity certificate Development software as: Java, Python, C# or others. Able to travel up to 30% nationally and internationally to support projects. Good level of English language, spoken & written. What's in it for you?
