System Engineer The System Engineer Fuel Cell is responsible for Function and System of the complete Fuel Cell System. She/He will be responsible for Fuel Cell system architecture and design review, involved in verification & validation plans and defect management.

She/He will work towards product targets achievement, by defining requirements in compliance with international standards and according to system engineering methods.


Responsibilities: Definition of fuel cell system/subsystem/component specifications, functional and non-functional requirements. Requirements elicitation, creation, and maintenance. Definition of functional design and layout of fuel cell systems. Support design integration of fuel cell specific components. Analyzes data to determine whether systems and processes meet required criteria and specifications. Identifies root causes of failed tests, nonconformities of product or process standard and offers recommendations for resolving deviations. Interface to other AVL teams within fuel cell and other electrified projects regarding simulation, design, control software, testing, DVP, production engineering, etc. Presentation of results to customer and compilation of technical reports. Performs other related duties as assigned. Experience in fuel cell system and subsystems architecting, design and integration. Experience with operation of fuel cell systems and subsystems on a testbed. Experience in requirements management processes and tools (e.g. DOORS). Understanding of product development processes, standards and regulatory guidelines. Basic know-how of software and controls. Profile: Master's degree in the field of mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, applied physics or similar. At least two years of related experience preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Excellent verbal, written and communication skills. Collaborative working style and networking skills. Good time-management skills. Willingness to travel. Proficiency in English. Offer: Homeoffice. Flexitime regulation.
