JOB TITLE & JOB CODE System BIM Coordinator PURPOSE OF THE JOB Lead the coordination between the sub-systems installation managers and the CW (either in 2D or 3D). Responsible for managing the overall project modelling tactics and BIM output through all delivery stages of the project for his scope. The interdisciplinary BIM coordinator is responsible for directing the coordination across disciplines. ORGANIZATION Organization structure (job belongs to..) Region or platform: Alstom S&I - Rome Reports directly to: Project Engineering Manager (PrEM) & BIM Manager Other reporting to: Direct reports: Subsystem BIM coordinators / Subsystem BIM Specialists Network & Links Internal (50%): direct and strong relations with the Project team and the subsystems: Electro-Mechanical (E&M) and Civil Work Interface Managers, Design office, subsystems design Managers. External (50%): to participate at the Co-ordination meeting with the Customer, the External Civil Works Contractors and the Partners. MAIN RESPONSABILITIES Deliver Project BIM processes, methodologies and guidance for the collaborative production, maintenance and delivery of information and data throughout all the project life. Lead the BIM modeller teams to direct the coordination across systems. Follow collection of information (geometrical and required metadata) for BIM objects from subsystems design owners. Review the submitted models for each subsystem in terms of compliance towards project design and minimum level of development. Support the activities of the BIM Manager. Support the Project CW Interface Manager providing data such as clash report with the CW subsystem. Participate in the JV BIM coordination meetings and manage the actions that can be raised on Alstom. Review customer comments on system model and manage model amendment plan following official project delivery. Lead the BIM modellers Team to evolve the Detail design model to the Constructive design model. MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES Educational Requirements Mandatory: Desirable: Master University Degree in Engineering.
Experience Mandatory: At least 3 years of experience in BIM coordination. Must have knowledge of civil or electrical design experience, especially for those involved in the installation and interfaces. Must have in-depth working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks. Desirable: Infrastructures design. Infrastructure BIM authoring/Coordination. Experience of integration in Railway. Competencies & Skills Railway knowledge is appreciated. Possess excellent communications and organizational skills. Capability to collaborate with other modelers from any system. Proactively coordinate with Project teams. Able to modify models or CADs from the model. Able to execute multidisciplinary metadata checking. Able to execute multiple system clash detection or volume clearance checking.
